Regional Weather Forecast

Nova Scotia is experiencing mid-winter conditions across the province thanks to a blast of air draining down from the Arctic. The strong push of cold is serving up wind chill values that range from -15 to -22. It’s also responsible for heavy onshore snow and poor visibility. By Saturday the wind will drop below 40 km/h and flatten off to the west; that will bring milder air and allow us to shed a layer or two. I’m watching a weak system that will brush the Atlantic coast late Sunday but the more intense weather maker is expected to roll in Tuesday afternoon. Right now it looks like the low will travel up an over, pulling mild air across the region next week.
