Q: What is a digital subscription to The Chronicle Herald and why would I want it?
 

A: A digital subscription provides unlimited access to all of The Chronicle Herald's premium news content on desktop and mobile device browsers including access to our daily e-edition. This model allows The Chronicle Herald to deliver even more premium, local journalism across multiple devices. For about 150 years, Nova Scotians have placed their trust in us to help inform, inspire, engage and entertain every day. As a subscriber, you’re joining a community of people who believe that local journalism is an important part of a healthy, thriving community and democracy.
 

Q. Why does The Chronicle Herald have a metered (paywalled) website?
 

A: The Herald website has had a paywall on it (meaning you needed to have a subscription to access our content on an unlimited basis) since 2013. While our site was being updated, we temporarily disabled the paywall functionality, put a hold on charging for all digital subscriptions and have been providing unlimited access to our content for anyone who visits. But we’re by no means alone in this practice. Our peers, like The New York Times, Washington Post and Globe and Mail all ensure they can produce top-quality journalism by offering subscription-based products.
 

Q: What digital subscription options are available and what do they cost?
 

A: Are you already a print subscriber? As a valued subscriber your digital access is already included in your current subscription. Q: Does my digital subscription include access to a mobile app through my mobile device?
 

A: No. The Chronicle Herald mobile apps are not currently available in the App Store or Google Play store for download. Subscribers can access all of our content on a mobile device via our secure, mobile-optimized website at สล็อต www.socialmediabusinesssol.com.

Q: I've activated my digital access. Why do I need to sign in?
 

A: You’ll need to verify your account during your first visit as a digital subscriber and approximately every 30 days after, or if you clear your computer's cookie settings. The reason you have to sign in is to protect the value of your subscription through validation. You can sign in using the log in button in the top right-hand corner of the website:

Q: How do I sign up for unlimited access to The Chronicle Herald's digital content?
 

A: Not yet a subscriber? For those who rely on our site as their daily source for trusted news and information, we are offering digital subscriptions allowing convenient access across multiple devices including desktop and other mobile device browsers. View our subscription offers.
 

Q: Do I have to get the newspaper if I sign up for a digital subscription?
 

A: No, we offer unlimited digital-only access for those of who do not wish to receive the print newspaper or are outside of our delivery area. We do however offer print and digital access bundles to those in our delivery area. Q: How is a digital subscription billed?
 

A: Within three business days of setting up a new subscription we will email you an invoice for your subscription that will include several payment options. You can choose to prepay your subscription for a selected term of 13, 26, or 52-weeks, or get set-up for pre-authorized monthly recurring payments from your bank account or credit card. Full details will be included when you receive your emailed invoice. Q: How long will it take to link my print subscription account to gain digital access?

Q: While linking my account, I received a message saying that the system cannot find my account, but all my information is correct. What should I do?
 

A: Accounts are matched using the subscriber's last name and one of the following: your account number, your postal code and phone number, or your postal code and civic house number (no street name). This information is matched to the account holder on the subscription. If the information you are entering is not working, ask yourself if there is another person in your household who may be the account holder or if there is an outdated street number or phone number we may have on file as your contact information. Q: Why do I have to activate my account? What will you do with my information?
 

A: Activating your account enables you to have unlimited digital access to our premium news content online. It also enables you to manage your account details on your own time, 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. You can update your profile information, request a new password and provide feedback with more features coming in the future. The Chronicle Herald respects your privacy and will not sell, rent or give your personal information to others.
